What to do and visit in/and near Trôo:

At less than an hour from Blois, Tours and Le Mans, Troo is the perfect base to explore the Loire Valley region and discover its beauty and unique environs.

- Trôo itself is a traditional French village that has attracted many talented artists who call it home. Our local tourist office, Trôo Tourism, can help you discover our town and artists like none other.

- In the nearby village of Montoire sur le Loir (6km from Trôo) is home to Musikenfête, a museum dedicated to traditional French music that often has live performances by local musicians.

- Other nearby towns are home to chateaux famous in the Loire Valley, including Lavardin and chateau ruins (8km from Trôo), the chateau of Courtenvaux (8.6km from Trôo) and the castle of Poncé sur le Loir (11km from Trôo). A bit further away (about an hour's drive) are some of the most famous chateaux in France including Azay-le-Rideau, Chenonceau and Chambord.
